Hiroyo Matsumoto is one of the most prolific wrestlers in the world. She started her wretling career in Mariko Yoshida's Ibuki promotion - having debuted there and being the group's first "True Born". After having been in the business for 5 years (her 5th Anniversary occurred this past July), she has already accomplished much. As one of the most pushed wrestlers of her generation - she already has worn the JWP Jr. & P.O.P. Championship Titles, OZ Academy Tag Team Titles, NEO Tag Team Titles, and her first U.S. championship belt - the SHIMMER Tag Team Title! Her passion for the sport, and commitment to be the best, has earned her respect from joshi puroresu legends such as Mariko Yoshida, Aja Kong, Kyoko Inoue, Yoshiko Tamura, and many others. Her infectious smile and charisma both in and out of the ring, has made her an instant fan-fave anywhere she goes. Today, Hiroyo is known internationally, and popular with joshi and wrestling fans in general all over the world. This marks the FIRST EVER ENGLISH LANGUAGE INTERVIEW that Hiroyo has done. Despite having the option to submit her answers in Japanese, Hiroyo has chosen to perform the interview in English in honor of her English-speaking fans! 	Dave Prazak recently announced that you will be returning to Shimmer for October. This will be your third excursion to Shimmer. Are you excited to be coming back? What should the fans expect from you this time?
	Of course! [I will raise] the level. ‘Lady Destroyer!’

	During your Shimmer excursion in April 2010, you received the biggest cheers and chants of “PLEASE COME BACK!”. In your Shimmer excursion in March of 2011 you also had chants of “MATSUMOTO HIROYO DESTROY!” and got the most streamers of any of the joshi wrestlers. Why do you think you are so popular with American and other worldwide fans?
	Am I popular? [I am] glad. I think that the reason for all is that feelings always restrained, can be liberated by my match. Maybe (^^)

	In March, you and Misaki Ohata won the Shimmer tag team titles from the Canadian Ninjas, which was arguably one of the biggest moments of the entire weekend. How did you feel in that moment after you both became tag champs? What did that victory mean to you?
	I left the nail mark for the history of the professional wrestling in the world. It [was] a big [deal] for me to have captured the belt. I want to fight with strong pro wrestler[s] who [are] all over the world starting with this. The man pro wrestler also.

	I think too. Of course!

	DVD, Portrait, photo….others?

	While you and Tomoka are in the U.S., will you be booked to wrestle anywhere else?
	Only SHIMMER. Tomoka [has] other match.

	In June you wrestled your former mentor Mariko Yoshida, in a OZ Academy Tag Team Title defense match with Tomoka against Yoshida and Ohata. How was it being back in the ring with your former teacher and mentor Mariko Yoshida once again?
	Mariko Yoshida is Mariko Yoshida. She is [the one and the only!].

Likewise, Japan is bringing in more gaijin talent, with REINA and Pro-Wrestling Diana being good examples. How do you feel about this “globalization” of joshi puroresu? Is this a good thing?
	Yes, good!! This is wonderful stimulation for Japan [and] for the world. For the player.

	Speaking of “globalization”, you have also been making friends with international wrestlers you’ve worked with such as Hailey Hatred, Kellie Skater, and Mia Yim, what do you think of them as friends and wrestlers?
	They are a good friend for me, [and] as long as they are pro wrestlers, [they will also] be good rivals.

		Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to your world-wide English-speaking fans?
	I am looking forward to meeting everybody in October. Live Happy (≧∀≦)
